BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — A Providence man was arrested in Boston after a “ghost gun” was allegedly found inside his vehicle on Oct. 18, according to the Boston Police Department.

44-year-old Sandley Pierre Louis was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm (third offense), unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, operating a motor vehicle without a license, operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle, and attaching plates.

Around 7:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with Rhode Island license plates in Roxbury.

According to Boston police, the registration plates had allegedly been cancelled and belonged to a different vehicle.

During the traffic stop, officers discovered Pierre Louis did not have a valid drivers license in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.

Inside the vehicle, police allegedly found a ghost gun with one round in the chamber and a magazine with twelve rounds.

Police said officers seized the gun and arrested the defendant.
