Providence man arrested in Canton for allegedly stabbing coworker

CANTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Canton Police Department said that a Providence man was arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred Wednesday.

19-year-old Osmin Ramirez was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Police said officers responded to a gas station on Washington Street around 7:45 a.m. for a reported “customer dispute.”

Ramirez allegedly stabbed a 29-year-old while having a dispute with a coworker outside of a van parked at the gas station.

The victim was taken to the hospital and was expected to survive their injuries.

Ramirez was taken into custody and held on $2,500 bail.
