Police ID Providence man killed in Plymouth crash

A Providence man is dead after a car crash in Plymouth Thursday evening.

Massachusetts State Police say they responded to reports of a vehicle going off the road on Route 3 northbound around 6:35 p.m.

Both occupants of the vehicle were taken to Jordan Hospital where one of the passengers, a 21-year-old Joseph Sampson, from Providence, succumbed to his injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
