Providence mosquito sample tests positive for West Nile Virus
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — West Nile Virus has been detected in Providence, according to the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management.
The virus was found in a mosquito sample collected in the city on September 9, according RIDEM.
This is the 13th mosquito detection of West Nile in 2025.
