Providence offering grants for small businesses affected by Washington Bridge

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The City of Providence and RI Commerce are accepting applications for grants for small businesses affected by the closure of the Washington Bridge’s westbound side.
The applications will be accepted from now until September 24, 2024, and the grants range from $500 to $2,500 and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Businesses must be physically located in Providence, and must have experienced a revenue loss of at least $500 and 10% due to the closure.
This includes a maximum of $2 million in gross receipts.
For-profit businesses and non-profit entities must have been established before June 1, 2023.
