Providence PD release name of 18-year-old killed on his birthday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department have released the name of the 18-year-old who was killed on his birthday in Providence on Sunday.

18-year-old Darmani Balbuena was shot during a gathering on Rhodes Street, where he appeared to be a resident.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing and active at this time, according to police.
