Providence Place Mall raising parking rates

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Place Mall will be raising rates for parking in its garage.

John Dorsey, who is one of the temporary receivers of the mall, said that the new rates would ensure the mall’s ‘long-term vitality.”

“The mall’s new visitor parking rate structure will remain highly accessible: 0-30 minutes (free); 30–60 minutes ($1); 1–2 hours ($2); 2-5 hours ($10),” Dorsey said.

He added that the employee monthly parking rate of $65 a month would remain unchanged.

The current parking rates for the mall are free for up to two hours, $2 for two-to-five hours, $15 for five-to-eight hours, $20 for eight-to-20 hours, and $25 for 20-to-25 hours.
