Providence Place Mall upgrades to parking system

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Just in time for the mad rush of holiday shopping, the Providence Place Mall unveiled some improvements to their parking garage Thursday.

The Providence Place Mall unveiled their new parking system right in the middle of the chaos of holiday shopping. They say the new garage will make the trip more efficient for customers.

In fact, the number of pay stations has nearly tripled going from 10 to 27.

In addition, a new license plated recognition system was installed that allows users to pay more quickly, and a new red light, green light system has been added to make exiting easier as well.
