Providence Police had to administer Narcan early Saturday morning on a man they suspected had overdosed on heroin.

Police say just after midnight, they responded to an address on Thurbers Avenue for a report of a male and female unconscious in a car.

Upon arrival, officers observed both a 30-year-old male passenger and a 21-year-old female driver unconscious and unresponsive.

Police were able to wake the female up rather quickly, but the male remained unresponsive.

Officers had to administer two doses of Narcan before the male regained consciousness. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
