Providence Police arrest man accused of shooting brother

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said that it made an arrest in connection with a shooting on East Drive on May 3.

24-year-old Eliezer Colon was charged with domestic felony assault and a firearms offense.

Officers were sent to the area and discovered a 29-year-old with a gunshot wound.

Police said that the victim was Colon’s brother.

The department added that the victim was in “stable condition” as of Sunday afternoon and the incident was still under investigation.
