Providence police arrest man in connection with alleged attempted robberies

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A man suspected of multiple attempted robberies has been arrested, according to Providence Police. 

The alleged attempted robberies took place at 755 Cranston Street, 5 Elmwood, and 49 Elmwood.

According to police, the suspect was later successful in a robbery in East Providence.

Officials said detectives were able to obtain pictures of the suspect and the vehicle he was driving, which helped quickly identify him.
