Providence Police Chief Perez: Roads should stay on track through weekend races
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Races and Events Marathon is coming to Providence this weekend.
Runners will hit the pavement on Sunday at 7:30 a.m. at Bold Point Park in East Providence.
The half marathon and 5K start next, at the same location at 8 a.m.
From Bold Point Park, runners will continue over the Linear Park Bridge, through India Bark and Blackstone Boulevard.
Providence Police Chief, Colonel Oscar Perez said traffic should remain smooth throughout the race course.
