Providence PD dispatcher was tipping off suspect boyfriend

Officials are now saying the Providence Police dispatcher who is under investigation for inappropriate behavior was tipping off her boyfriend about his arrest.

Police say the dispatcher, who has been on the job for only four months, heard officers talking about her boyfriend’s arrest on station radios.

The concern is now if she leaked other sensitive information while on the job.

She’s been placed on administrative leave until the investigation is complete.
