Providence Police gun and badge stolen from officer’s car

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – A police badge and a semi-automatic handgun were stolen from a Providence Police officer’s car on Jastram Street.
Police say the robbery happened sometime between 9:45 p.m. Wednesday and 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
Officer James Lewis said his .40-caliber handgun with 11 rounds in it, his police badge, and a camouflage wallet are the items that were stolen from his car.
There was no sign of forced entry, according to police.
