Oscar Perez, the Chief of Providence Police said the event allows families to experience the fun of Halloween especially if they live in areas where they can’t go trick-or-treating.
“To make sure that the kids in our city have a safe space to get their candy, that their parents can come and enjoy a good night, a safe night, also we do it for relationship obviously, it’s a good way to interact with the children, to see a different image of police officers under different circumstances and it’s a good night for us as well,” Chief Perez said.
