Providence police investigate alleged domestic assault with glass

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Police responded to a call of a stabbing on Atlantic Avenue Tuesday afternoon, according to the Providence Police Department.

After arriving at the residence, officers learned that the victim had suffered a laceration from a piece of glass that was allegedly thrown at him by his roommate.

The suspect fled the scene and the victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say that the incident will likely be classified as a domestic felony assault.
