Providence police investigate suspicious package

Officials investigate a suspicious package near a walkway outside of Providence Place mall.
The Providence police department tells ABC 6 RIDOT employees noticed a bag near the entrance of a CVS pharmacy at 11:15 a.m. on August 31st.
A police dog was brought to the scene and the bag was removed by 1 p.m.
No additional information was immediately available.
