Providence Police investigating apparent stabbing incident

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said it was investigating a possible stabbing that occurred on Chalkstone Avenue.

The department said that police responded to a report of a person with a possible stab wound, but the alleged victim had left the area before officers arrived.

Police were unable to locate the individual or any suspects.

Evidence at the scene was collected for the investigation.
