Providence Police investigating hidden camera in RIC restroom

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police are investigating after a hidden camera was reported to be found in a restroom at Rhode Island College, according to a spokesperson for the college.
RIC campus police were notified of a potential hidden camera in a Donovan Dining Center restroom within the last week, according to RIC Director of Communications and Public Relations John Taraborelli.
RIC police then searched all public restrooms on campus and reported that no cameras were found.
Students were notified of the situation the following day through email.
Providence police are now handling the case and told ABC6 News “we do not have anything to release at this time, pending the ongoing investigation.”
Additionally, Taraborelli said “[RIC] cannot comment further because this is an ongoing investigation.”
