Providence Police investigating shooting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said detectives are investigating after a shooting Saturday night.

According to police, officers were sent to East Drive, and discovered a 29-year-old with a gunshot wound.

Police said the victim is “expected to survive.”

Officials said the suspect fled the scene, but was found on Hazael Street.

ABC6 News crews on scene reported seeing one person in handcuffs getting checked out by EMS.
