Providence Police investigating shooting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said it was investigating a shooting after an 18-year-old victim was found outside Central Station early Sunday morning.

Police said the victim and a friend told police that they were shot at while driving a vehicle on Whelan Road and Flower Street.

The victim suffered gunshot wounds to his back and were transported to the hospital, where police said he was in stable condition.
