Providence police investigating triple shooting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department is investigating after three men were shot on Broad Street early Sunday morning.

According to Major David Lapatin with Providence police, the three men, who were not identified, were shot around 2 a.m. in the area of Levels Lounge.

A police report from the incident obtained by ABC 6 News states that at 2:24 a.m., three gunshot victim arrived at an area hospital.

One man had an apparent gunshot wound to his shoulder and said he was shot after leaving the Levels Lounge and walking towards the nearby Rent A Center parking lot.

According to the report, the second victim sustained three gunshot wounds to the right side of his head and told officials he saw a grey Audi sedan flee the scene.

The report continues stating that the third victim sustained a gunshot wound to his arm.

Police said all three victims are expected to survive and no criminal charges have been filed at this time.

According to officials, no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting but one .22 caliber shell casing was found at the scene.
