Providence police investing two drive-by shootings

Shots were fired into two Providence homes overnight.

The first shooting took place on Lancashire Street at approximately 10:26 p.m. Thursday night.

Police say someone opened fire into a home.

Officials also say the bullet shattered a window and no one was injured.

Following this incident, at 10:30 p.m., police responded to another drive-by shooting two-miles away from Lancashire Street on 111 Garfield Avenue.

Officials say five shots were fired into the house, destroying a window.

Again, no injures were reported.

Police are still investigating the incidents and, so far, no suspects have been linked to the case.
