Providence police officer killed in crash

JAMESTOWN, RI- An off duty Providence police officer is killed in a crash in Jamestown.
The crash happened around 8:30 Saturday night at the intersection of North Road and Westwind Drive. A car collided with a motorcycle in the north bound lane.
The operator of the motorcycle, 43 year old John Reposa Jr., of Providence, died at the scene. The driver of the car has been identified as 44 year old Marijke Landon, of North Carolina. That driver was not injured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. At this time, no charges have been filed.
