Providence police officer, wife, found guilty on shoplifting charge

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE)- After turning themselves in June of last year, William Dickie and Tara Uciferro have both been found guilty for shoplifting.

Dickie stole about $66 worth of insulation from a Lowe’s on June 6. Uciferro stole an air conditioner worth approximately $380. Surveillance footage showing Dickie walking past the register without paying.

Dickie was suspended without pay when they both turned themselves in to Warwick police.

Both will pay fee’s for the theft, and will sustain a one year filing, meaning if they do not commit any crime for the next year the case will be dismissed.
