Providence Police say 2 people injured after shooting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said that two people were injured after a shooting on Hartford Avenue.

Police said that a 32-year-old woman sustained a gunshot wound to her left shin, and a 54-year-old man suffered a graze wound to his torso.

The shooting happened at a family gathering and a suspect vehicle that was stolen out of North Providence was recovered.

The victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries and the incident was under investigation.
