Providence Police search for suspects in attempted armed robbery

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence Police are looking for two suspects in an attempted robbery last night on Federal Hill.

According to Chief Oscar Perez, two subjects armed with a firearm and wearing masks attempted to rob an individual sitting outside of Opa Restaurant.

The suspects attempted to rob his jewelry, but the victim fled into the restaurant before the could do so.

Officers spotted the suspects’ vehicle in Pawtucket and attempted to chase it down, but lost it.

Police are currently investigating the incident.
