Providence police searching for bank robbery suspect

At 11:21 this morning, Providence Police were called to 50 Kennedy Plaza at the Webster Bank to respond to a holdup alarm.
Upon arrival police were told the bank had just been robbed. The teller said a 6 foot tall, white male with long, scraggly hair weighing around 170 pounds had handed her a note demanding money. The man was wearing a black and red cap, with a black jacket and a backpack, which he placed the money in.
The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot up Westminster Street towards Dorrance.
