PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — School zone speed cameras will turn back on Monday in Providence.

In addition to cameras in the capital city, speed cameras will be activated on August 29 in Central Falls, East Providence. Pawtucket will turn on their cameras August 31.

The cameras have been turned off since the end of last school year, per state law.

The cameras will operate from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on school days, issuing tickets during those times, according to the paper.

Providence has 20 cameras, and they changed the location of 6 back in April. The other cities have not changed the location of their speed cameras.
