PrideFest to return to Providence this weekend

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The city of Providence will kickoff Pride Month with the return of Rhode Island PrideFest tomorrow.
The ceremony will start at 11:30 a.m. at District Park on Peck Street, and the parade is set to happen at 8 p.m.
The Illuminated Night Parade can be seen at multiple locations throughout the city, including; Dorrance Street, Washington Street, and Weybosset Street.
Last year, the parade was named one of the best parades in the country.
The festival is set to feature LGBTQIA+ vendors and allies, resources for residents, and a 21+ beer, wine and spirits tent.
There will also be a PrideFest Kids Zone that will feature a bright array of activities for kids.
The main stage will feature performances from Grammy-Award winner, Motown legend, and “The Masked Singer” finalist Thelma Houston, RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Yvie Oddly and Xunami Muse, and American Idol sensation Blake Lewis.
