Providence’s ‘Big Blue Bug’ turns 44-years-old
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — “The Big Blue Bug,” also known as Rhode Island’s Nibbles Woodaway, turns 44-years-old today.
The Rhode Island icon on I-95 sits on top of Big Blue Bug Solutions pest control company.
The 58-feet-long, nine-feet-tall, weighed in at around 4,000 pounds was created back in 1980, and was named Nibbles in 1990 in a contest.
“Have you heard the buzz? Nibbles Woodaway turns 44 today! Please join us in wishing Nibbles a very happy birthday when you drive by today!” wrote the official Instagram page in a post.
