Providence’s Trinity Brewhouse ownership to change hands in July

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Trinity Brewhouse will officially change hands this summer with the owners of Patio on Broadway taking over the Providence staple known for its craft beer and chicken wings.

According to a Facebook statement from Trinity founder and owner Josh Miller, the transition will occur in July.

“I am grateful to see the Trinity Brewhouse legacy live on in the hands of fellow Rhode Islanders who plan to preserve both the name and the spirit of the brewpub,” said Miller.

Trinity Brewhouse first opened on Fountain Street over 30 years ago in 1994, and incoming owner of the business Angel Winpenny acknowledged the legacy she is taking on.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Trinity Brewhouse into our growing family,” said Winpenny.

“It’s a privilege to be part of such a well-live Rhode Island establishment, and our team looks forward to honoring its history and preserving the welcoming spirit and neighborhood vibe of the brewhouse, while updating the space and continuing to grow the business.”

The new ownership plans to retain many of Trinity’s longtime staff once they take over the business.
