Psychedelics, minimum wage for tipped workers among Massachusetts ballot questions

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Tipped workers could be getting a raise in Massachusetts.
Seven potential 2024 ballot questions were sent to the Massachusetts Legislature, each reaching the 74,574 signature threshold, including a question that would require full minimum wage for tipped workers with tips on top.
Other questions include the option for transportation network drivers to form unions and bargain collectively and an initial petition for a law to regulate and tax natural psychedelic substance.
MCAS graduation requirements could also land on the ballot, with district certification that students have mastered the skills, competencies and knowledge of the state standards as a potential replacement.
