WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Residents of both Warwick and North Kingstown can expect to see an increase in National Guard Activity today.

The 13th Civil Support Team, based in Coventry, is scheduled to conduct training exercises in both locations, according to a public note.

The Rhode Island National Guard Unit will be performing simulations in North Kingstown near the Davisville Middle School today, and in Warwick near the Drumrock Elementary Annex on Thursday.

While the National Guard is trained to deploy heavy hitting weapons, there is no threat to the public, according to officials.
