Rain returns after a stellar start to the week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — What a day! We reached a high of 72° at T.F. Green, with much of the area reaching 70 away from the water. Shore points were cooler with an E/SE wind, still nice though.

Unfortunately, we won’t have another day like today this week. Clouds move in tonight, setting up an overcast Wednesday with a few light PM showers, and highs around 60.

Thursday follows suit with the temps and rain chances, but more so all day long. We are then watching for heavy rain and some wind on Friday morning.

Minor improvements over the weekend, clouds break for some sun on Saturday. A shower is possible on Sunday, but not a washout as of now.

Monday and Tuesday of next week are looking like carbon copies of Monday and Tuesday this week. So we will have to wait a bit!
