Raising Cane’s opens its first Rhode Island location in Johnston

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The line was out the door Wednesday morning during the grand opening of Raising Cane’s in Johnston.

A ribbon cutting ceremony officially welcomed the public to come try the southern fast-food chain’s famous chicken fingers.

The new Cane’s at 1386 Atwood Ave. is the company’s first ever Rhode Island location. There are two Cane’s locations in Boston.

Customer Tyler Zelano told ABC 6 News, “[I’m] absolutely ecstatic. Jam-packed today, bumper to bumper, but we managed to sneak in, we’re so excited.”

Zelano said his order was “all the chicken fingers.”

The Cane’s in Johnston will be open daily from 10 a.m. to midnight.

The restaurant has an indoor dining room, outdoor patio, and a drive-thru.
