RAYNHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — The Raynham community will come together Tuesday after an apparent murder-suicide in town last week.

New Hope, Inc. will hold a vigil at 10 a.m. at 2254 King Philip St. at the park gazebo “in remembrance of the lives lost due to domestic violence and the families impacted.”

The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said the bodies of 30-year-old Tatiana Tavares and 43-year-old Scott Swale were found at a Ruth Ellen Road home early last Tuesday.

Raynham police believe Swale broke into Tavares’ home by shattering a sliding glass door and shot her in the chest while she was in bed. Swale then shot himself in the head.

Police had responded to two 911 calls: one from Tavares before she died and one from another tenant at the home.

Authorities said Tavares and Swale were in a rocky relationship for about a year.

The investigation of the tragic incident is ongoing.
