Raynham hotel to close as emergency shelter

RAYNHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Sen. Kelly Dooner said that Raynham Home2 Suites will close as an Emergency Assistance family shelter on Dec. 31.
Dooner said the closure is part of the state’s broader effort to phase out the use of hotels as emergency shelters and “transition families into permanent housing solutions.”
Commonwealth Care Alliance, the service provider for the shelter, will work with families in the months leading up to the closure to secure permanent housing through case management and the use of rental assistance programs.
