Any consumption of ready-to-eat food contaminated with Salmonella can result in salmonella, one of the most common bacterial, foodborne illnesses.
Typically the most common symptoms of this illness are diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within 12 to 72 hours after eating the contaminated product.
The symptoms usually last 4 to 7 days.
While most people recover without treatment, there are some cases where diarrhea can be so severe that the patient may need to be hospitalized.
Seniors, infants, and people with weakened immune systems are susceptible to develop a severe illness.
People who are concerned about an illness should contact their healthcare provider immediately.
Consumers who have bought these products are encouraged not to consume them.
The products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
