Reed and Langevin award $1M grant to CCRI to boost enrollment

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Sen. Jack Reed and Rep. Jim Langevin awarded a $1 million grant to the Community College of Rhode Island Friday.
The funding will go towards a new customer relations management system for the college. The system will help CCRI reach potential students easier through emails, text messages and phone calls.
Current students will also benefit from the system. It will help them to search for jobs and also with networking.
Before receiving the grant, CCRI was the only college or university in the Ocean State without a CRM system in place.
Reed and Langevin delivered the grant at an 11 a.m. event at the Knight Campus.
