Rehoboth Police are asking for information on an armed robbery at a local gas station.

On Monday night, police say two masked men walked into the Exxon Gas on Winthrop Street with knives and threatened to stab the store clerk. The clerk was ordered to the floor at knife point and was told to open the cash drawer and safe.

One of the suspects took money from the register, but police say the clerk couldn’t get the safe open.

Several packs of cigarettes were also stolen.

Surveillance shows the suspects approach the store wearing all dark clothing and nylon tape masks. They are both described as white males, one being thin and about 5’10” tall and the other described as having a heavier build and about 6’ tall.

The suspects took off on foot after spending about 2 minutes in the store. No vehicle or further information is available.

Anyone with information is asked to call Rehoboth Police.
