CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) – Representative Jacquelyn Baginski (D-Dist. 17, Cranston) brought free bicycle helmets to Woodridge Elementary School on Wednesday afternoon.

The event was part of a program by the Rhode Island Association for Justice, bringing awareness to a law that requires kids aged 15 and younger to wear a helmet while riding a bicycle, scooter, or skateboard.

“Did you know that it’s against the law to ride your bike without a helmet?  It is so important that you all think about safety as you’re out trying to enjoy your summer,” Baginski told the students.
