Rep. Hull awarded Regional Legislator of the Year Award from National Black Caucus of state legislators

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Representative Raymond A. Hull was given the Regional Legislator of the Year Award at the 45  Annual Legislative Conference of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL) Last night, December 2, 2021.

The entire conference was held from November 30 to December 3 in Atlanta, Georgia.

“I am grateful and humbled to be recognized by my colleagues of the NBCSL and I am thankful for all the good work this organization accomplishes in the name of every African American in our country.  The recent past has been extremely challenging for Black Americans and whether we are discussing the impacts of COVID-19 on people of color or the reexamination of the inequalities and injustices experienced by Black Americans within the judicial system, the NBCSL has been there every step of the way to support and help our country’s Black population.  It is a true honor to serve alongside the dedicated members of the NBCSL and I thank them for their service and this incredible honor they have bestowed upon me,” said Representative Hull, Chairman of the House Municipal Government and Housing Committee.

Representative Hull is also the Chairman of Region one of the NBCSL, which he was elected into 2016. the region includes  Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey and Vermont.
