Report: Ex-Pats wide receiver Danny Amendola retires

FOXOBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — According to reports, former Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola is retiring from the NFL.

Amendola, who played five of his 12 seasons in New England, is looking to explore other opportunities according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Schefter also reported that multiple teams reached out to the Amendola before he made the decision to retire.

Amendola played five seasons with the Patriots, winning two Super Bowls during his time in New England and was named as a member of the Pats All-2010s team.

He finishes his career with 617 catches and 24 receiving touchdowns.
