Report: Shoes stay on at some airport TSA checkpoints
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Changes could be coming to an airport security checkpoint near you.
The New York Times reports that TSA has started letting people keep their shoes on at some airports.
The agency has not officially announced any change or confirmed the new policy.
Most passengers had been required to remove footwear since 2006.
Though, those who are members of the pre-check program have been able to bypass the nuisance and get expedited screening.
