Reported Providence machete attack leaves victim wounded, several people in custody

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police have arrested several individuals after a Sunday morning stabbing, reportedly involving a machete.

According to Providence police spokesperson Kristy Dos Reis, the incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. at 675 Elmwood Avenue.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening lacerations to the arm in the attack.

Police detectives are investigating the incident.
