Reports: Toxic pollutants washing up in Cranston yards

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Reports have come in about cases of toxic pollutants washing up into Cranston yards following the flooding back in January.

An international chemical company has come up with a plan to test river sediment for the dangerous chemicals.

Residents are saying that debris has washed onto land after the Pawtuxet River flooded, leading to noxious odors in the yards.

A similar instance occurred in 2010, when residents were told to wear N-95 masks when clearing the debris.
