Request for information for Washington Bridge rebuild due

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation’s deadline for suggestions from qualified parties on input for the design-build services to replace the westbound side of the Washington Bridge is today.
Early in July, no bids were placed to rebuild the Washington Bridge.
According to RIDOT, the purpose of this RFI is to solicit information and suggestions from qualified parties regarding the solicitation documents and procurement process for the design-build services to replace the westbound side.
No award will be made as a result of the RFI, and all costs associated with developing or submitting a response.
Additionally, the RFI does not indicate any award values or budget ranges for the project.
According to RIDOT’s posting, any information submitted in response to this RFI shall not be considered public records until there is a contract award through a subsequent, related procurement.
