Rescue personnel remove man from North Burial Ground fence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Several firefighters and emergency personnel were called to the North Burial Ground cemetery in Providence to help a man who was stuck in a fence.

Firefighters on Thursday used a saw to cut open part of the fence after the 64-year-old man attempted to climb over it.

According to Providence City Hall Press Secretary Anthony Vega, the man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Rescuers used a harness to lift the man up before he was put on a stretcher and transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
