Reward for Coventry hit-and-run suspect increases to $1000

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) — A reward leading to information on the suspect involved in a hit-and-run that left two EMS workers injured has been increased.

The incident occurred on Victory Highway on May 29, as the Western Coventry Fire Department responded to a medical emergency.

As first responders were exiting the emergency vehicle, a car passed by and hit two paramedics.

The Coventry Police Department provided additional details of the suspect vehicle on June 6, describing it as a 2019-2023 Chrysler minivan with front passenger side damage, specifically the passenger side view mirror.

The reward has been increased from $500 to $1,000, according to police.
